The expansion will better accommodate the over 40,000 patients who rely on Bristol Hospital for emergency care each year. In addition, it will allow our providers to increase the speed and effectiveness of care provided to you or someone you love. Through the Emergency Center at Bristol Health, we see approximately 30,000-40,000 patients per year, so the benefit of the renovation project for our community is huge. To be able to receive life-saving care within 5-10 minutes from your house can be the difference between life and death for many people.

A hospital is a place that is there, and you take it for granted until you really need it. To walk through the doors of the Emergency Center and know the care that you can get there, and the passion that the staff has for their jobs… I don’t know how you could put a price tag on that.

The Emergency Room we have today is small and can be difficult to have privacy. This new modern facility will be state-of-the-art and you can get there within 10 minutes from anywhere in Bristol. To be able to have a modern facility with more space, access to better equipment, to get the equipment needed into the room quickly, and be able to diagnose and make an assessment is key. The Emergency Center is a resource that is always there for you and your family, and may even save lives for your family. We want to have a first-class facility in Bristol, so I encourage everyone to support.

In 2010 I had a choking incident where my life was threatened as I was out of oxygen for over 7 minutes, but I survived because of Bristol Hospital. One never knows when you’re going to be in need of these services, I ask for your support for this Hospital to continue to do what they did for me.
