Joint Replacement at Bristol Health

Get Back to Pain-Free Living.

Replacing a joint can relieve pain, restore movement and activity, reduce the risk of chronic health conditions and improve your overall quality of life. Although knee, hip, and shoulder replacement are the most common types of joint replacement surgery, Bristol Health also specializes in wrist, ankle, finger, and elbow replacement procedures.

From convenient access to pre-admission testing and a suite of rehabilitation services to working with you to accomplish your recovery goals, the team at Bristol Health is here every step of the way. Whether you need a total joint replacement, revisional surgery, or MRI-assisted knee surgery, you can rest assured knowing that the joint team at Bristol Health offers some of the most skilled and cutting-edge surgical procedures in Connecticut.

What Is Joint Surgery?

Joint replacement surgery is performed by an orthopedic surgeon and the process includes removing a damaged joint and putting a new one in. In some cases, the surgeon will only replace or fix the damaged part of the joint instead of conducting a full joint replacement.

Our team assists you in selecting the procedure that compliments your desired outcome and rehabilitation. When possible, our board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons perform less invasive joint replacement and revisions, resulting in less pain, faster recovery, and improved patient outcome.
